YESTERDAY OR TODAY?

One day Buddha decided to go away for a little while. he asked his chief disciples like Ananda, shariputra and others to stay back at the monastery while he ventured out on his own. It was most unusual because generally Buddha went, he was accompanied by his devotees and disciples who doted on him and revered him more than their own lives. They always wanted to be around to behold his beautiful form, to listen to his tranquil words, and above all just to serve him. but, this time, budhha instructed them not to follow him until he said otherwise. Exploring new places, as he walked from one village to another, many people did not recognize him.  They didn't think he was  Gautam Buddha because there was no entourage, there was no crowd. He was wandering like any other monk, discreet and alone. On the way, Buddha approached a man for alms. The man, however, was distraught and livid for his only cow had just died a few minutes ago. In a fit of rage, he began shouting at Bud...

Feel it or Let go? 🗣

Inner twilight- EMOTIONS! Emotions prevents us from seeing the bigger picture in life. And at the same time, emotions are the bigger picture, or atleast, they are a big part of the picture.  We feel good or bad, happy or sad, excited or discouraged, and a thousand other things. The inventory of the various ways we feel is almost endless. feelings are ever changing, usually without Notification. They Don't need our permission to fluctuate; they merely seem to do as they please for no specific reason that we can find. We have all experienced going to bed feeling just fine physically and emotionally, only to wake up the next morning feeling tired and irritable. Why? Why do I feel this way? We ask ourselves, and then we usually begin to tell anyone who will listen how we feel. It is interesting to note that we need to talk a lot more about Our negative feelings than we do our positive ones. 👉I want to do what is right,     But I do what is wrong ! We human ...

The word "Being" and the word "God" !!

The Buddha is silent on that, and his silence implies that you'll have to find out for yourself. He uses a negative definition so that the mind cannot make it into something to believe in or into a superhuman accomplishment, a group, a goal that is impossible for you to attain. Despite this precaution, the majority of people still believe that enlightenment is for the Buddha, not for them, atleast not in this lifetime. The word "being" Being is the eternal, ever present one life beyond the myriads forms of life that are subject to birth and death. However, being is not only beyond but also deep within every form as its innermost invisible and indestructible essence. this means that it is accessible to you now as your own deepest self, your true nature. But don't seek to grasp it with your mind. Don't try to understand it. You can know it only when the mind is still. When you are present, when your attention is fully and intensely in the now, being can be f...

THE TRUTH THAT IS WITHIN YOU "ENLIGHTENMENT"

A beggar had been sitting by the side of a road for over thirty years. One day a stranger walked by. "Spare some change?" Mumbled the beggar, mechanically holding out of his baseball cap. "I have nothing to give you," said the stranger. Then he asked: "what's that you are sitting on?" "Nothing" replied the beggar. "Just an old box. I have been sitting on it  for as long as I remembered." "Ever looked inside?" Asked the stranger. "No" said the beggar. "What's the point? There is nothing in there." "Have a look inside," insisted the stranger. the beggar managed to  try open the lead. With astonished, disbelief, and elation, he saw that the box was filled with gold. I am that stranger who has nothing to give you and who is telling you to look inside.  Not inside any box, as in the parable, but somewhere even closer inside yourself. "But I ain't a Beggar," I can hea...

SUPERSTITIONS IN INDIA  Are you superstitious??? As society has grown to become more dependent on science as to understand the world more , superstitions have developed more negative associations . Believing in superstitiouns , is an individual look out . These were most probably created by more intellectual people for the lesser inteligents for following things that had complex reasons which would be explained differently , in a form of some sort of story . Which got blindly followed even after this rule loosing its sense .  Different myths and beliefs that shape various cultures around the world give rise to different kinds of superstitions from one place to the next . Isn't it something weird and unacceptable in society ??? • Black cat crossing your way will bring bad luck ! (hhaa 😁) Like India is a country where more people stop when a black cat crosses your way than when the see the red traffic signals . If a black cat crosses your path , it simply m...
