Hindu Code Bill And Ambedkar

"I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved." ~ Dr B.R Ambedkar. The Hindu code bill was introduced in the Constituent Assembly on 11 April 1947 and was referred by a select committee on 9 April 1948, after 4 years of deliberations, it remained inconclusive. This was probably the longest debate on any single bill in the independent Indian Parliament.  The Congress was not eager to clarify the Hindu Code bill and because of this Ambedkar resigned from the cabinet on 27 September 1951  What was the need of a codified bill? The bill itself was an immense exodus from Hinduism and its humiliating set of gender laws. Until then, "Hindu law" was also casually interpreted through the oral reading of various contents from the Vedas, Smritis and Puranas. There was no real codification or uniformity, and women's lives were often in the hands of Hindu male interpreters. It can be said that in Hinduism there were two laws regar...

The Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita Bill, 2023

Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita Bill 2023 Why in News? Recently a parliamentary committee has reviewed the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)   2023 bill,  proposing significant changes to India's criminal justice system. Union Home minister and minister of cooperation, Shri Amit shah, has introduced three new bills  in the lok sabha that propose a comprehensive revamp of the country's criminal justice system. These three bills are intended to replace the existing laws: the Indian penal code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC 1973) and the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.  тАв The IPC will be replaced by the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita Bill, 2023. тАвThe CRPC will be replaced by the Bhartiya Nagrik suraksha sanhita bill, 2023. тАвThe Indian Evidence Act will be replaced by the Bhartiya sakshya Bill, 2023. The Indian penal code (IPC) is a comprehensive code that defines criminal offences in India. It was enacted in 1860 by the British colonial government and is still in force today. The IPC...

Menstruation (period blood) An article for men and women!

What are periods? (Menstrual cycle) Females aged 11-50 (varies in every case) have periods once every month for a span of 3-7 days. A femaleтАЩs body prepares itself to carry a baby every month. This is done by the uterus. The uterus forms a thick cushion like layer so as to support a baby. But if no baby happens, then thereтАЩs no need for this layer. So this layer (ENDOMETRIAL LINE OF UTERUS) starts shedding automatically and out comes blood. ThatтАЩs what periods are. Why only girls? Without going into the exact science of it, let's just say that the body prepares itself to have a baby every month. When that doesn't happen, periods do. It is actually a sign of good health. Is it true that women have mood swings during menstruation? / PMS ( pre menstrual syndrome?) Yes! During menstrual period or before periods there is imbalance of hormones in the body. due to this mood swings, headache, cramps, bloating, cravings, sore breasts and overall tension occurs which create bad impact on...

SEXUALLY ABUSED CHILD

Child SEXUAL ABUSE Sexual abuse is among the most serious issues that face children and youth today. The specter of child sexual abuse is frightening to parents and caring adults. Sexual abuse steals so much from children, robbing them of trust, innocence and security. Addressing the problem of child sexual abuse directly and responsibly is important to fostering appropriate awareness of this difficult topic. Childhood is a pivotal time in human development, more so than any other phase of life. One of the biggest social stigmas attached to a society is that of child abuse. All forms of violence, abuse and exploitation have long-lasting consequences on childrenтАЩs lives. Slowly India is becoming increasingly aware of violence against children, especially sexual abuse.   A childтАЩs mind begins with their brain, and their brain begins with a structure morphologically similar to an adult. While physical growth is perhaps the most obvious change during this time, neurological growth...

LIFE

Once upon a time there was a man who was living close to a mountain and everyday he was thinking: how would it be to climb that mountain, and what would I see on the peak? ЁЯММ And finally the day came and the man on the journey. Arriving at the foot of the mountain he met the first traveller. So he asked: how did you get up the mountain and what did you see on the top? And so the traveller shared his path and also the view that he had. But then the man, he was thinking to himself: The way that the traveller just described it sounds very exhausting.  I need to find another way to climb. So he continued on the foot of the mountain until he met the next traveller.  Once again he asked: how did you climb up that mountain and what did you see on the top? And so the other traveller shared his story still not being determined on which directions and which way to go, The man asked thirty more people, thirty more travellers.  When he finished talking to all of them, he finally made...

THE WAVE~ STORY OF WHAT HAPPENS AND WHO YOU ARE!!

So this is the story of the little wave but at the same time it's the story of all of us the story about us all. So one day there is this little wave, And it's bobbing along the ocean Having a great time and he's enjoying the wind, And the fresh air and the sea and just enjoying going so fast next to all the other waves and he feels like, WOW this will go on forever and he rides all along the ocean, and he never stops until one day he suddenly sees something he Never saw before he sees something that looks like тАвтАв A SHORE. He sees the coastline and he notices that the other waves in front of him one after the other, starts crashing against the shore and our little friend becomes terrified he says: MY GOD! This is terrible look what's going to happen to me!! He tries to turn around but he can't and so he goes with relentless speed towards the coastline and there is a bigger wave next to him, and he sees that the first  small wave is really terrified, and he says...

YESTERDAY OR TODAY?

One day Buddha decided to go away for a little while. he asked his chief disciples like Ananda, shariputra and others to stay back at the monastery while he ventured out on his own. It was most unusual because generally Buddha went, he was accompanied by his devotees and disciples who doted on him and revered him more than their own lives. They always wanted to be around to behold his beautiful form, to listen to his tranquil words, and above all just to serve him. but, this time, budhha instructed them not to follow him until he said otherwise. Exploring new places, as he walked from one village to another, many people did not recognize him.  They didn't think he was  Gautam Buddha because there was no entourage, there was no crowd. He was wandering like any other monk, discreet and alone. On the way, Buddha approached a man for alms. The man, however, was distraught and livid for his only cow had just died a few minutes ago. In a fit of rage, he began shouting at Bud...
